About Me

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and built a strong foundation in web development, software engineering, and modern cloud technologies. My early work focused on creating websites using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, and I later expanded into backend and frontend development with NestJS, NextJS and Flutter. I also gained experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering, using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS to build secure infrastructure and automate deployments. My goal is to create reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems that meet the needs of users and businesses.

How I Build

I enjoy taking an idea from a mobile or web application through APIs, infrastructure, automated deployment, testing, and production operations. I am especially interested in building systems that are observable, secure, scalable, and resilient, with monitoring and disaster recovery considered from the beginning.

Beyond Work

My hobbies include building personal projects, learning new technologies, exploring cloud platforms, and improving my development workflow. I also enjoy solving technical problems, experimenting with new tools, and continuously learning how reliable software is designed and operated.

I have taken on leadership roles in capstone projects, including working with a team to develop a website for PNP District 1 of Misamis Occidental. My professional experience includes working as a Software Engineer at HII, where I contributed to web application development using Angular and Laravel. Over time, I expanded into DevOps and Cloud Engineering, using Terraform, Terragrunt, Jenkins, and AWS to build secure infrastructure and automate deployments.

Projects

On-Premises DevOps & Platform Infrastructure

Designed and operated a self-hosted platform for application delivery, observability, security, and private cloud services. The environment combines Docker-based services with a virtualized Kubernetes cluster and repeatable Ansible automation.

The platform supports Jenkins CI/CD, PHP and Node.js application deployments, code quality checks, centralized metrics and logs, SIEM monitoring, and self-hosted storage services. It demonstrates the ability to build and maintain production-style infrastructure on local hardware while keeping deployments consistent and manageable.

Delivery & Operations
  • Jenkins pipelines for automated application deployment
  • Argo CD for GitOps-based Kubernetes delivery
  • PHP deployments using Docker Compose
  • Gitea for self-hosted source control
Monitoring & Security
  • Prometheus and Grafana for metrics and dashboards
  • Promtail and Loki for centralized application logs
  • Wazuh SIEM agents for security monitoring
  • SonarQube for code quality analysis
Kubernetes Environment
  • One control-plane node and 2 worker node
  • Metrics Server for node and pod resource visibility
  • Promtail agents for Kubernetes and server log collection
  • Deployment of Next.js and NestJS applications
Self-Hosted Services
  • RustFS for S3-compatible object storage
  • Immich for private photo management
  • Nextcloud for file storage and migration
  • Uptime Kuma for service availability monitoring
